Promise Partnership Council

The Promise Partnership Council (PPC) acts as Promise Partnership Utah's advisory board, bringing in their expertise to guide how we create systems change in our community.
The PPC is comprised of a dedicated group of youth, community leaders, school representatives, community partners, and systems leaders who all come together to work on complex problems.
Council members work together to pursue lasting social change on some of our community’s toughest challenges by addressing systemic barriers, scaling practices that work, and leveraging their influence to create alignment and political will.

Youth Council
A subgroup of the PPC made up of youth ages 16-24 who represent communities in the Promise Partnership Utah region. Utilizing their lived experience, they offer additional thoughts on prioritized indicators from full PPC meetings to send to the Collaborators. Along with the Collaborators, they offer guidance, support, and improvements to strategies developed from chosen indicators.

Collaborators
Collaborators are a subgroup of the PPC, made up of representatives from community organizations, school representatives, and other roles who most closely serve our community. The task of this group is to review priority indicators identified by the full council and narrow them down to areas the broader partnership is well-positioned to address and pass those along to strategy workgroups. Collaborators will also offer guidance, support, and suggestions to help improve the strategies developed from chosen indicators.

Accelerators
Accelerators are a subgroup of the PPC made up of systems leaders who will support strategy workgroups with clear, focused action commitments. Accelerators support strategies over which they have direct influence. They will help track the progress and accountability of strategy workgroups.
Co-Chairs
The Promise Partnership Council Co-chairs are individuals from Collaborators, Accelerators, and the Youth Council who support meeting facilitation and preparation. These individuals were nominated by their respective subgroups and commit to serving as a co-chair for a minimum of one year. The two chairs from Collaborators and Accelerators will focus on the full PPC meetings, while the Youth Leader will focus on the Youth Council meetings. Dakota Matherly, Sarah Reader, and Samhita Chavakula currently serve as PPC co-chairs.
**PPC members who serve as Accelerators are indicated with a double asterisk by their name.
