About Us
We are a public-private partnership working to align, share, and deploy resources to improve outcomes and reduce disparities in the following:
1) kindergarten readiness; 2) third-grade reading; 3) eighth-grade math: 4) high school graduation; 5) postsecondary readiness; 6) postsecondary completion; 7) health; and 8) financial stability.

Our 100% Promise
Two of our Promise Communities, Promise South Salt Lake and Millcreek Promise, with Granite School District, have committed to re-doubling our efforts together to dramatically improve outcomes and close disparity gaps. Together we set a goal that 100% of students in South Salt Lake and West Millcreek graduate high school with a career plan and have their basic needs met by 2028.
Basic Needs Access
We work to ensure kids' and families’ basic needs are met so they can thrive. We know that kids who have their basic needs met are better able to focus in school and achieve academic success.
Thousands of students and their families benefit from vital assistance including food, immunizations, dental care, and vision services thanks to our dedicated education partners. In instances where these services can't be directly provided at school, 211 Utah steps in to bridge the gap, empowering families by facilitating access to essential resources and support.

As of July 1, 2023, United Way of Salt Lake, Promise Partnership Utah, and 211 Utah (Salt Lake City team) are part of the Utah’s Promise organization. Utah's Promise is focused on building and supporting partnerships and civic infrastructure necessary to help every Utahn in need access the resources and supports available in our social care system, and to help every child in Utah achieve their potential through education from birth-to-career.
